GOP MAGA faithful won't turn on Trump but the Trump/Biden norm 40% approval rating is a signal of death in national elections. [b]Dems will be successful in 2026 and 2028 thanks to Trump being the sitting POTUS. [/b]Simple as that. History repeating itself.[/quote]
Don't count your chickens before they are fully hatched. It's possible the GOP get a spine before the end of this year, early next year just in time for the elections and turn the ship around. Now if they stay on the current course, I agree their goose is cooked. [/quote]

If they do, great, because that would be best for the country. As it is, Trump's job approval numbers are tanking in record speed and by 2026 he'll be as unpopular as he was in 2020 and as unpopular as Biden was in 2024.

Sitting presidents with 40% approval ratings are a political death sentence to the party in power. Been here, done this.[/quote]
