Most prosecutors do this . People that have been in jail for a long time can’t get hired anymore, can’t find somewhere to live except loser low self esteem girlfriends  (and you’d be surprised there are plenty ),and usually have to return to crime .  Crime rates are bad for prosecutors and cops . They decide it’s best to just keep criminals past their time and you’ll be surprised how many are fine with that. They have no pay to pay bills or no one or nothing to come home to [/quote]

My uncle was released from prison and is lost.  His wife left him years ago, sold the house.  He is too old to get any sort of job, even if he weren't a felon, which he is.  If he stayed in forever, it would be better for him.  As it is, his son, my cousin, is caring for him and all the attendant issues.[/quote]
