Did the IAC boycott SJC? Just Bullis on 4/18? What happened to games against Landon and Prep? Figure they would want a shot at them this year before the loaded 26 class comes of age. Surprised to see no MIAA either. Good games against Hill Academy and St. Anthony's. Episcopal game wasn't competitive last year. By the way, the JV should play Ryken, DJO, and Ireton. Split up lax in WCAC like they do football and ice hockey. Would be better for kids to schedule more powers than the bottom of WCAC even if SJC ended up dropping a couple of games.
Not sure why Prep or Landon isn't on SJC's schedule this year, my guess, is both programs are afraid of suffering a "L". In my eyes, the only way to get better as a team is by playing better competition. Also, the MIAA teams also appear to be "ducking" SJC, it's not just the IAC programs. No Calvert Hall or Spalding. Where is Saint Mary's or McDonogh? I've listed SJC's non-league schedule below. The Cadets can only schedule teams who are willing to play them. I'm sure Wes will play anyone. Hilly Academy, elite program from Canada, will play anyone as they are desperate for games. Academy of the New Church, I've never even heard of this program, anyone know anything about them? Episcopal Academy, coached by PLL coach, very solid program from Philadelphia but not on the same page as Malven Prep or Haverford. Boys Latin, is always a top 4 program in the MIAA, year in and year out. St Anonthy's, Long Island Catholic School power, is this game at a neutral site? Bullis, reigning IAC champion And fully agree with the previous poster about the WCAC needing to be split up into 2 divisions. Have an upper and lower just like they have in basketball and football. The WCAC commissioner is just too smart though
Unfortunately Basketball isn’t split so you get 90-30 DeMatha v Heights results. Ireton has refused to play SJC last 2 years. The JV beat Ireton varsity pretty easily. It’s a simple fix and done in at least 2 other sports.
