So this does argue in favor of a guilty verdict now.  A split jury would have deliberated longer.  You think the only possible fast, unanimous verdict could be not guilty based on the evidence presented. [/quote]

PP you're quoting, and yes.  I don't think the defense had a strong enough case for the ENTIRE jury to buy reasonable doubt this quickly.  The charges I was deliberating about were much less momentous, and we still deliberated for a few days.  You need at least one juror with integrity for that to happen.[/quote]
