If the US cuts off intelligence and money to Ukraine, they'll be hard pressed to continue the fight. As it stands, it seems like the slaughter has left them with fewer and fewer men to join the battle. It is not in America's interest to support anyone in this fight.
It really is in America's interest to support Ukraine. Both for the good reasons - supporting a country defending itself from invasion - and for more realpolitik reasons - severally weakening both our own and the world's main adversary. But yes, Ukraine will crumble if the US withholds support. That's when the real problems begin. 10 years from now people will be wondering why we were such idiots. Like Obama letting Crimea slide. Russian imperialism is going to be a problem until they lose - whether it's in Ukraine or Estonia or Poland. And if we are not going to commit our own military - which we shouldn't - we need to give Ukrainians the means to defend themselves. And Europe really needs to get their act together and stop being such parasites, particularly all the countries not making 2 percent. This is their neighborhood. Poland is going to have the most powerful military in Europe soon. Because they have that border with Russia and they are consequently spending 5 percent. We are gaming in some really bad scenarios if Russia is not defeated in Ukraine.
