I'm shocked about Aaron Ivey. I've been trying to find a thread today where it's being discussed. Aaron and Jamie Ivey just put out a marriage book a couple of years ago... Are there any *spiritual influencers* that are actually legit and not phonies!? Ivey's predatory behavior goes back to at least 2011 and involves an underage child.
I don't want to say that there's never any need for books about marriage or that none of them are good or helpful, but it's also not hard to see that books about marriage are a cottage industry within the world of Christian publishing, probably because marriage is hard and people are always looking for help and guidance with it. Thus it's not hard to see why Christian celebrities and public figures might want to write a book about it.
