They were desperate to play with the cool kids after spending all their life being grinds.  They wanted someone to stoke their egoes, and provide them with the creature comforts they wanted, and Epstein was willing to do that.  Also, they didn't actually care about the impact on their victims.

I've long said white men (writ large) don't actually care about white women.  The whole thing where they said that their families and daughters and wives and mothers were the most important people in their lives: bunk.  Anyone who actually believed that women were people as important as they were would see this whole web of sin, lies and idolatry for what it was. [/quote]
