Our oldest graduated from Hardy last year, and our youngest was scheduled to start 6th grade there this year. We sold our house and moved to Arlington, instead where our kids are now having a much less chaotic school experience. Last hear, there were a lot of troubling signs that the school was in a downwards spiral, and I guess we made the right decision to move. But, it's a shame what's happened to the school.
Smart move. Better college options too
Yeah, we didn't see any viable options for our kids in DC, unless we were willing to shell out tens of thousands for public school. It's shame. Our kids both went to Key ES, and that was a positive experience. We wanted to give Hardy a try, and 6th grade for our oldest went well, but things fell apart during the pandemic, and never recovered. A lot of the kids seem to have gone feral. I wish the new principal, whoever he ends up being, the best of luck.
