I wonder if they ever cared. It really seems like Ivana is the only wife who was ever really his match - and got any part of him that isn't slicked in orange makeup and goo. The others looked, at least from the outside, transactional.

Ivanka and Jared have always been uncomfortable with his Presidency. They're not idiots, they knew a businessman who grifts and bankrupts as a matter of a course would not do well as President. So from the beginning, they sought to do damage control and get what they could for themselves out of his White House stint.
