JFC --- everything is not about race.  I am from a rural area and we had guns and lots of them going back generations.[/quote]

If you read the article and not just these two paragraphs they discuss this.  The point out how hunters from rural areas of other countries(like Norway) were also opposed to gun control.  But Norway lacked a political issue like this one so ultimately the non rural population’s preferences for safety won out. 
So yes, not everything is about race.  Any other questions?
