I heard people giving the principal accolades.  There is clearly gang activity going on in Magruder that he either knew nothing about or made no attempt to control. He should be removed immediately. [/quote]

What can they do? Expel them? Discipline them? [/quote]

They should have metal detectors.  They should have sros. They should have administrators who know there are gangs in their school and are spot checking their lockers and backpacks. They should bring back detention, suspension and expulsions. 
What they should not do is nothing.  But that's exactly the path they chose. [/quote]
