They were denied on previous occasions because they were ill equipped. But they were arrogant and posted about how they could handle any condition thrown at them. They couldn’t. They were wrong to adopt him in the first place and wrong to exploit him on social media and wrong to try and cover it up when they sent him away, but they did the right thing by having a competent family adopt him. I thought the documentary struck the right balance of showcasing how awful and selfish the Stauffers were while also showcasing how obsessively scary the internet can be. Influencing is high risk/high reward and easily fleeting. [/quote]
