Yes, you're right, he wasn't touting Trump's endorsement, he was just repeatedly citing Trump's endorsement as a reason for why Trump supporters would vote for him. After previously having said in public that he would reject Trump's endorsement.

If you actually read the article detailing the call you would see that [b]he also talked about not wanting Trump’s endorsement.[/b] I know you can’t be reasoned with, but at least be knowledgeable about the entirety of what was being discussed on that call instead of taking a snippet and acting like he is actively campaigning using Trumps endorsement. He’s talking about the strategy to use with the hard core Trumpers that may not want to support him. It’s not rocket science or some sort of about-face to tell those people hey, your guy actually did end up endorsing me because your other choice is a far left liberal. [/quote]

During the call he acknowledged that he didn’t want Trump’s endorsement but pointed out the fact that despite him not wanting it or asking for it that Trump did endorse him. There is nothing disingenuous about that, he didn’t pretend that he eagerly sought the endorsement or that he even wanted it. He’s pointing out the fact that the endorsement was made. And please stop with the argument that anything anyone says about Angela Alsobrooks that isn’t supportive is racially driven. It is so effing tiresome that people try to silence any criticism of a candidate by crying racism. [/quote]

Is all criticism of Angela Alsobrooks a racist dog whistle? Of course not. There are plenty of things I disagree with her about, and I voted for her twice.
