When you lose (frequently), it’s a showcase or a scrimmage or it’s a new team or the coaches are about development. When you win (rarely), it speaks for the high quality of the DA and how bad ECNL , the ecnl mid Atlantic division, and all of the ecnl clubs are. The hypocrisy is real. [/quote]

This is true though. An ecnl team loses a fluke showcase game to spirit and it’s used as an argument against ecnl, mid atlantic division, etc. Look back through the threads.  It is pretty funny and is brought up anytime the ecnl vs da debate starts. When they lose, there’s a list of excuses related to rosters or the type of game it was. For example, the Richmond united games over the weekend.

Last week. All the time. That and fcv losing to pda weekly by spirit parents. Maybe it’s just the 05 spirit parents that stink?

Every week “fcv 05 lost to pda 05 7-0. The parents fought on the sideline.”  Then it’s “vda 05 and their division suck. Spirit beat them 1-0 at a showcase.”

Also that McLean 05 cant be good because a lot of players left for spirit. Therefore, McLean 05 and its league and division must stink.

It isn’t the PDA loss that gets brought up it is the parents fighting that gets brought up. It is that sideline culture that is being discussed NOT the result. [/quote]
