The school, in denying him the use of a laptop, was breaking the law. If his IEP said "use of a computer when it was available in the room", then fine. But it did not. Not using a laptop meant my son could not take notes. Now, is this a deal breaker? No. Because dysgraphic kids are good listeners. But of course some of his teachers insisted he take notes, even knowing he could not physically do so and get the gist of the lecture. It's in his IEP. It was brought to their attention, and it was ignored because "it's not fair to others". Epic BS.[/quote]
