All of the tests/ quizzes had questions that were either right or wrong and writing assignments had rubrics. Also, some parents who came from other schools were shocked at how their kids got easy A's at other schools and suddenly had to work hard at BASIS and were not getting A's. BASIS also provided extensive tutoring in school for struggling students so I see it as very plausible that a student improved. In fact, they give out awards for most improved.
