Most humane societies say that about cats, because indoor cats don't pick up strange viruses and they generally live much, much longer than pet cats that go outside every day.

Although I guess if you hate cats too, this is a win-win.

Amazingly, I think this is the dumbest thing I have ever read on DCUM.  Did you somehow miss second grade science class?  Of course birds are animals.  They are indeed members of the animal kingdom.  Perhaps you mean that birds are not mammals?[/quote]
