I agree. Unless something turns up about the boy's background, he should be given the benefit of the doubt. Video footage seems to confirm the basic outline of his story. We may never know exactly what happened when they were alone on the beach together. He may well have been too drunk, and it was too dark, for him to be clear about it either.[/quote]

My guess is the FBI will do a complete background check, including interviewing his family, friends, and GFs. When a friend was murdered, detectives went ten+ years back into her history and interviewed many, many people she knew in an effort to glean any potentially relevant detail.[/quote]
