Yeah, I don't think it is necessary, and I am indeed a he.  If you have money to burn on private school then go for it, as I agree the higher level competition in the private school leagues is better for development.  But being one of the better players on a top tier team is really all that is necessary, and also very unlikely for most of our daughters unfortunately.  [/quote]

I disagree with this.  Private schools, at least in the DC area, are doing very little to help their players get recruited.  Most or all of the recruiting is done by the clubs.  I believe you could take any top private school player, put them on public school team, and the outcome would be the same.  Now you do see more top players from private schools in this area because lacrosse is a very popular sport with well-to-do families.  But, correlation does not imply causation in this case.[/quote]
