Perhaps the Best Class Ever in the history of Cap Lacrosse it is a testament to the outstanding players that have been developed .
Very Debatable. A couple of duds in there and no Princeton, or Cornell, no Boston College, no Northwestern, or Stanford, UNC…. It’s a great list but not the best ever.
Hold your horses! There's a Capital Blue Princeton Commit in the mix! For many players lacrosse rankings are about as important as last week's laundry. Quite a few girls had offers from those schools you mentioned; they just decided to take a different road. The top 10 players in Capitol could have strutted their stuff at any of those schools if they wanted. Why settle for Boston College when you can aim for the Ivy League? Harvard, Yale, Princeton, Dartmouth, or even Duke — now that's a buffet of choices! Especially if lacrosse rankings don't even tickle your fancy.
Lol. The top 10 girls all had offers at BC, NW and UNC, they just decided to go to Dartmouth instead. Now, that's funny. Dartmouth over BC ANY day. Dartmouth is ranked 15th among all universities and has a 6% admission rate compared to BC's #37. The player would not have to deal with fifth years or the transfer portal. Also, there's a higher probability of playtime as a freshman. Being able to play freshman year and not deal with the transfer portal or 5th years is significant on the list of must-haves for some of these recruits. Some would take Dartmouth over BC, UNC, or NW. Even 5-star recruits and top 10 in the class of 2026 might not see the field as a freshman at a couple of those highly ranked lacrosse schools. These are factors that players consider when they're making their decisions. You obviously are not dealing with the process or been through the process to appreciate some of these nuances.
The funny part is Cap parents continually stating that they all have the option at the other schools. Dartmouth is a great school. Pretending they're all top recruits at the top lacrosse schools is embarassing. Should just be proud with what they've accomplished.
