Vanderbilt has Greeks, but I wouldn’t say it’s “heavily” (it’s less than 1/4 I think) and the admin has been taking subtle and not so subtle steps to marginalize them.  Established residential colleges etc. [/quote]

You Vandy geed parents are really trying to talk yourselves into the idea that frat gods don't control the social scene or that some cheesy, wannabe Hogwarts house system can marginalize Greek life on campus. I'm sure your kids have fun at their dorm pizza and movie nights, but the Greeks are still the BMOCs at Vandy. Yes, the frat culture is much different there than at Alabama or Ole Miss, but that doesn't mean it's less prominent.[/quote]
