BSC isn't perfect but it is fair to ask why top players leave for other clubs. Sorry but I have never heard of a top player from club leave at u16 or later to join another ECNL club.
It is primarily the college prep and recruitment piece. It is missing at bsc. Clyde has great connections at McLean, as does Harry at MD United.. Bsc doesn't have anyone on the girls side with strong connections to college coaches. This is why the older teams will lose some players and continue to struggle. Once committed, the stronger D1 coaches also want to see their commits in a strong training environment which bsc does not have at the oldest teams. This could change, but the current state of affairs.
I think this is spot on. There has not been a Top 150 player, U15 and above, who transferred in to BSC in the last five years from other area clubs. It is the exact opposite, and these players won't even list BSC in their college bios. This is not about hate folks, but just can't spin those facts. Now how do you fix this moving forward, as the younger talent now may just do the same thing in a couple years?
Another stupid post from somebody that knows nothing. Obviously you don't think. Please feel free to research the Bethesda class of 2019 and 2018. Then make sure you visit all 14 Division 1 roster pages and take note. You shouldn't be allowed to post. There should be rules against your type. I absolutely hate these types of DCUM posters. Ugh.
Umm! I'm not sure you answered the question about "elite" players coming in to Bethesda from other area clubs post U15. That was the point of that last post. And another fact that KL has multiple posts defending Bethesda (can't blame him) on DCUM is, posts are always not done during the time he has team practices. Even went as far as having the moderator delete 2 months of negative posts since end of December. Try to take some, not all, of the criticism on here and make the club a better place to attract talent.
Not Kevin. I wrote a different post that answered your cherry picked info. I see you are choosing to ignore that one, so lemme ask you: What matters more, developing players or recruiting new “elite” players post U15? BSC is right to tout the 4 current U15 and U16 players that were selected to the most recent YNT camps for their ages. That’s a great accomplishment, but it sounds like you’d prefer to be at a club that fails to develop its own players and instead recruits in girls of that caliber post U15 — in other words, when the girls are in their sophomore, junior or senior HS years. Of course, the not so funny thing is that, if BSC actually did recruit in a bunch of elite girls in their last 3 seasons as you wish they did, then someone else would be on here criticizing the club for failing to develop talent at the younger years. Damned if you do, and damned if you don’t.
