My, how times have changed.........
conveniently so, yes
WTF does that have to do with a wall. Or, um, a fence.
When a wall/fence/barrier would work, and many of the Democrats who are vehemently against a wall/fence/barrier now, but they were for it just a few years ago, it is pertinent.
A wall / fence would not work. There is a wall now. People drop their children over it, tunnel around it. Most illegal immigrants overstay visas. I know this as I have friends who work for CPB. The fact is, "Border security" is not synonymous with wall. And the PResident was offered a bi-partisan immigration/border security package last year. He said he would sign it. Then he reneged. He's not interested in "Border security." This is on him. And while were at it, let's not forget that he has flip flopped on this issue (the wall) NUMEROUS times, including in the last couple of weeks. AND HE OPENLY LIED when he said Mexico would pay for it. Since that was his position, we should not even be having this discussion and the Gov't should not be closed.
