Can't be bothered to read the entire thread and I'm firmly in the Trump is a dotard camp but objectively the phrase "he knew what he signed up for" in the appropriate context doesn't strike me as being outrageous. Not sure what all the fuss is about when there are about 100 things this moron is doing that we should be fussing over. Also, that congresswoman is a raging lunatic. And I never knew the proper pronunciation of Niger until now.
What makes the congresswoman a raging lunatic?
I've watched a couple of interviews with her and she's borderline incoherent. I can't believe she's a US Congresswoman....it's just embarrassing. And I can't believe she would choose to share and politicize a private conversation in a moment of grief that she happened to overhear......to me that's the height of crassness. Lastly. the nutty outfits don't exactly scream professionalism to me but that's my personal bias.
And you don't think Trump acts crazy and incoherent?? You're not embarrassed by him, even just a little? Look, honestly when this first came out I felt a bit bad for him. He wasn't elected to be the consoler-in-chief, he was elected to be the tough negotiator on trade and immigration. Displaying empathy is not his strong suit, and he has a hard time reading the scripts that are prepared for him sometimes.. He was likely nervous and it's no doubt a hard call to make. I don't think he was trying to be disrespectful. And maybe the congresswoman did have political motivation- she is close to the family, however. But anyway- if you hear the widow was hurt by your comments, you call and apologize and make things right, not get crazy defensive and lash out on twitter. Who the hell cares if he was "right" or the congresswoman is a loony bin or whatever. He's the goddamn president and I wish he'd start acting like it every now and then. Can you imagine if Obama attacked a veteran's widow in twitter? He's have been impeached.
