To set the record straight as a 2014 MYS parent who doesn't feel the need to hide behind an anonymous post:
1. My kid has started every game U9-U13 yet never participated in the coach's side hustle.  It's a total myth that the coach is running a pay for play model.
2. The TM has worked tirelessly to support the coach and the girls.
3. All the girls are valued and it's an amazing environment for them.

Feel free to hang me out to dry on this because I won't bother to come back on and read the responses. You are a pot stirrer.  MYS 2014 Pre-GA already plays U13 this year...which is good for their development. [/quote]

Debatable whether this is good for individual development. 11v11 means more space on the field so less play in close quarters and fewer touches on the ball for each player. May help the team win short term the next year but that’s shortsighted. Europe doesn’t even go to 11v11 until even later, more focus on short-sided games and creative playmaking.[/quote]
