Total corruption. Teachers get canned for reporting true data on non inflated grades, behavior, crime etc and admin get promoted for covering up, inflating grades, and showing rosey optics. Good luck finding teachers after you abused and fired the few left in the industry.
Agreed. How do you fix such a huge, corrupt school system? With zero oversight. It’s very difficult.
Oversight is supposed to come from the Board of Education, who's supposed to be critical and hold the superintendent accountable, but instead, rubber stamps everything and pushes back against very little, and from the County Council, which allocates the funding and appropriation to MCPS. I think the council is trying to fix MCPS, but MoCo constituents need to keep the pressure on the council members if we want to see lasting change.
Let me tell you something, you right wingers, private school parents and Fox news watchers, 82% of real MoCo constituents are happy with MCPS.
Care to site your source? And why do you classify someone who cares about problems in MCPS as “ right wingers, private school parents and Fox news watchers”? Why are you compelled to defend MCPS with made up data and name calling? Do you work for MCPS or just a troll?
The 82% figure is from a 2019 survey that only had a 17% response rate. So it’s not exactly relevant when it comes to current levels of satisfaction with MCPS.
DP. Do you have any public-opinion data that are more recent or more comprehensive?
2021 community survey on lots of topics. https://www.montgomerycountymd.gov/OPI/Resources/Files/2022/2021-NCS-Report.pdf#page=32
I don’t see any questions specifically about MCPS.
You didn't look carefully. pg 32 K-12 education is 81% good or excellent. p 41 has more detailed breakout.
