Oversight is supposed to come from the Board of Education, who's supposed to be critical and hold the superintendent accountable, but instead, rubber stamps everything and pushes back against very little, and from the County Council, which allocates the funding and appropriation to MCPS.

The 82% figure is from a 2019 survey that only had a 17% response rate. So it’s not exactly relevant when it comes to current levels of satisfaction with MCPS.[/quote]
