I will not be wearing my mask inside from this point forward. I am triple vaccinated and I am done. It's time for civil disobedience. The vast majority of people who are ready to move on with their lives need to speak up and act up. Enough of this garbage.
Jim Crow laws, the Vietnam war, having to wear a mask to the grocery store...
No. Having the government make decisions on my health or that of my children that quite literally changes every week is not a precedent we should allow to be set. Much like the other unacceptable issues you raised. Much larger issue at stake. It’s unfortunate that the mask forever crowd does not understand that. Regulate obesity. Ban all cigarettes. Force people to exercise.
You mean, like laws about drinking water, food safety, pharmaceuticals, motor vehicle safety, air quality, etc.? That precedent was set a long time ago.
Ok - then Regulate obesity. Demand exercise. Eliminate obesity and Covid would not mean hospitalization and death for thousands of people.
You think it's an intolerable infringement on your personal liberty to have to wear a mask when you're at the grocery store, but you want the government to "regulate obesity" and "demand exercise"?
NP. Regulating can mean things as simple as charging higher health premiums when people are sedentary and eat poorly. The soda tax is also actually a good thing. You're free to be fat, guzzle Coke, and be car dependent, and do nothing about it, but enjoy paying twice the premiums as everyone else. And enjoy paying 3x the premiums when you refuse to be vaccinated for COVID. Get rid of all the mandates. People can do whatever they want but I'm tired of paying for other people's poor health choices.
