No coach is going to want the "superstar" that does nothing but try and take on a team on his/her versus a team player that knows how to use the players around them, hence, if a player doesn't have decent players around them, it's hard to be recruited as a player. It depends.  If there is an amazing goalkeeper, the coaches won't hesitate to recruit even if the keeper is surrounded by mediocre players.  The same applies to center backs.  It is harder for attacking players, if they play on a bad team, but even then certain things could make them stand out (e.g, speed, first touch, decision making). [/quote]
