According to their social media. The formal rollout will happen later next week. Hopefully the announcement will include all committed clubs and league formations. In the current press release they did mention that the league will be the same as the DA except they will allow girls to play high school soccer and the substitution rule has changed to allow more substitutions.[/quote]

DA was already taking on water before it was terminated.  They then lost two of the best teams in the country when SD Surf and Real So Cal went to ECNL.  It is a pipe dream that GAL will be anywhere close to the same level of competition as the old DA, but I know those clubs will try to sell it to the current players.

The reality is that it is over.  The best players from FCV, Arlington, MU, and BA will all go to ECNL clubs, and any remaining girls will play with some new, but lesser quality, teammates in a lesser league.

Not one player has left FCV, Metro or Arlington. If a new league keeps these same clubs as well as the other DA’s what is the rush to leave? Colleges went to the DA showcase and if only the name of the league changes what is the real difference?[/quote]
