We are going easier on illegal immigrants than we are on our own citizens. There was even a liberal prosecutor who said he "downplays" charges (like moving a DWI to a DUI) when he's dealing with an illegal alien, because a DWI could get him deported. So, IOW, not only is he harder on a DWI American citizen, he cares more about protecting the drunk illegal alien than the potential victims of the alien's illegal and irresponsible driving.
