These text exchanges just don’t sound the way 22-year-old gamers communicate. Feels off, as if from a fiction writer: “I had enough of his hatred,” Robinson texted, referring to Charlie Kirk. “Some hate can’t be negotiated out.” The partner responded with shock, according to a law enforcement reproduction of the text message exchange. “You weren’t the one who did it right????” the partner texted. Robinson responded: “I am, I’m sorry.” (Copied from NYT)
Lol no 22 gamer talks like that. Sounds like some boomer cosplaying
Exactly. I think I'm the only GenX loser around who texts in full sentences. There is NO way anyone younger than me, and most definitely not a 22yo, texted, "I am, I'm sorry." A comma and a contraction. Totally unbelievable. I just scanned my boys texts and neither one has ever used a period. One occasionally adds a question mark. A short text is, "K" "sup" "nah" "bro" "sry."
This isn’t a teen boy texting to his bro. It’s an adult man texting to his partner about a horrible thing he did that will separate them for life. I don’t think you can possibly compare your kid’s texts about meeting up to see a movie or whatever to this situation.
Uh, my kids are the same age, not teens. I'm pp. There is absolutely ZERO chance a 22 yo is using a period or contraction. He might expressed that sentiment, but in no way would it look like that. If this is this is the exact text, then it's false.
Absurd. Extrapolating from your kid and their friends is really stupid. Grow up and admit you were wrong.
