It is honestly so weird that a bunch of adults are analyzing the instagram posts of teenagers and weirder that you think institutional quality changes year to year based on college acceptances. All these schools are good and families weigh many factors when deciding on school and college. Please get a life!
I know! My kid's post is one of those posts, so it feels extra weird.
Ick levels through the roof. Kinda wish they’d make my kiddo’s school’s private.
Kids don't care. if they had an issue they wouldn't publish where they are going. The kids should be proud, lots of great schools.
I'm sure the kids don't care, it's just sad you all are wasting your time on this.
for parents deciding where to send kids to high school this matters a ton. the thread is "instagram college decisions" - anyone not interested in the topic has muted the thread or doesn't open it. some could say it's sad that you are wasting your time commenting on this thread.
No, it really does not. Please get that notion out of your head if you truly want to make good decisions about where to send your child for HS. A kid who gets into HYP is likely going to get there from any of the most selective private and public schools. There is nothing magic going on that makes Brearley vs. Dalton vs. HM the answer to your Ivy League dreams. Especially at the TT schools, the peer groups will be similar, and whether this school sent 8 or 3 or 10 kids to Harvard in a given year is not a statistic that's particularly relevant to where your kid will have the best experience.
but the debate of going to say a 2T versus Stuy or TT versus suburban public or whatever comparison you want to make - this helps
Agreed. Of course it’s a useful data point. That woman posts in response to any mention of TT college matriculation, downplaying the results every time. At this point it can be nothing but sour grapes.
