That would be an absolutely stupid thing to do. We need a general high school in the western part of the county according to their own CIP for decades. No one needs an aviation academy. I was thrilled the school board actually took steps to buy this school that fell in their laps but I was surprised they did because they seem to screw everything up. If they buy this school and turn it into a very niche academy like aviation, I guess my initial thoughts that they would screw it up will have been confirmed.[/quote]

Priority should be for current need in the nearby community.

Academies cost money, too.

Once they figure out the attendance at KAA, perhaps one of those secondary buildings could be an academy.
Westfield also might be a possibility.  Or Herndon.  But, right now, funds need to go to the primary need:  a regular high school.[/quote]
