It definitely appeared to be the objective of several of the other regions.  I don't believe it was a talent deficit.  DD told me the other regions said that they practiced together starting after selection.  You can see on the Am Select page that many have coaches named already, etc.  Not yet for DC/VA.[/quote]

It is perplexing. I would think Stars and Pride and whomever else would have their top players trying out to compete with the Long Island, Maryland and other teams out there. Looked like a really fun 
tournament last year. Hope the top VA kids give it a hard look. [/quote]
