Miranda’s platform was obsolete the minute it was clear five days per week would happen in the fall. Mary’s was never about opening schools or not. Look at her webpage from day 1 - she was and is focused on all the other issues facing APS and our students. She addressed the school closing/opening issue eventually, but wasn’t campaigning on it because it’s moot by the time Jan 1 2022 rolls around. By contrast, Miranda had nothing else in her quiver when this all started. She has no track record of engaging in APS or APS issues, and pulled her child from the system went she wasn’t happy. This is not a candidate invested in the long term of APS. Despite ALL CAPS screaming by some on AEM, the caucus is not a referendum on opening schools. [/quote]

Yeah, well, Diaz-Torres had no experience, either.  And no, I don't count 4 years of Teach for America - or whatever it's called - in Nevada as experience for being on the Arlington SB.  Anybody could put together the agenda Mary has laid out - it's merely all the key talking points and phrases with no specific proposals or solutions.  I am an undecided voter between Mary and Miranda. But at this point, if Audrey Clement were running for SB, I'd vote for her without hesitation.[/quote]

I only care because Kadera distanced herself from these groups, only to have a main admin show up to her pre-watching party. Not a good look for either of them.

I even think Kadera is a better candidate. But things like this can't happen in politics. It looks terrible. Kadera said what she said. She needs to wipe her hands clean, and not be around anyone easily identified from these groups.[/quote]

What are you talking about? If you care about alignment with groups you should care that Miranda Turner's campaign IS APE. Turner is a leader of APE. Turner's campaign treasurer is a leader of APE. Turner's campaign manager is active in APE. All of her campaign volunteers are from APE.

There's no daylight between Miranda and APE.

Of course it's pretty obvious YOU are APE too. Anyone who would bother to post on DCUM on Miranda's behalf is clearly APE. You people are just like Trump. Points for your umm "enthusiasm."

But I’m not APE. My children are virtual right now.  I don’t like either candidate tbh. Turner focuses too much on BTS, which will be moot in Jan. But Kadera makes statements but upon further evidence, really doesn’t mean it.
