You say this - STILL - after 70k dead in about 6-7 weeks - THREE TIMES A FLU SEASON IN ONE THIRD THE TIME - AND WITH A LOCKDOWN

And not all "survivors" are created equally. Some will be affected -- for who knows how long. Others are just sort of sitting around intubated until they kick it.

You lot are complaining because your life just can't go on as normal and those old people and pre-existing conditions people are just inconveniencing you from living your real life. Why don't they just all stay at home so the rest of us Real Americans can get on with living.

And I bet the 90% majority of the OPEN UP NOW SNOWFLAKES crowd think they're pro-life.

Dems are happy to butcher people in the womb and consider it progress.

Republicans are happy to butcher people once they become a hassle. That's considered progress because it helps The Trump get re-elected.

A good number of those who died were nursing home patients.   A lock down is not going to prevent that unless those giving care are not allowed in.  
Gov. DeSantis took action that other governors should have taken.  He knew who the vulnerable were and targeted prevention toward that population.

Just so you know... I am part of the vulnerable population.  I am not being terribly inconvenienced.  I believe this nation needs to open.  
I will continue to take precautions to protect myself... staying home more than normal, wearing a mask, washing my hands, and keeping my hands away from my face. 
There are ways to open our nation with minimal risk.  Time to do that.  [/quote]

Your first sentence minimizes them - oh they were nursing home patients. So of course they were going to die.

And if people die, they die - that seems to be your overall attitude.

Or let's try this.

Dems - would you accept a death toll of 100k and a return to relative prosperity by October if it meant four more years of Trump?

Republicans - would you accept a death toll of 300k by October and Trump losing 1980 style if it meant we could open up Swedish style and turn unemployment from 20% to 10-11%?[/quote]
