With any other president I would say the worker was disrespectful to the office, regardless of your politics. But that's not the world we live in anymore. Trump has earned no one's respect, and his gesture to the worker was astonishing inappropriate despite the White House's assertion that it was.

The other thing to consider is that most of his (white) coworkers voted for Trump. When he yells "pedophile protector" he's doing it in a crowd of those there to celebrate the POTUS. It immediately puts the rest of his coworkers in a position of shame and questioning.
