Oprah is not guilty of the crimes of any of these people. However. It’s improbable to me that she was utterly unaware of the pervasive rumors about all of this before arrests were made. It’s part of the powerful protecting the powerful by lending them shine socially and otherwise. It also speaks to the idiotic overlapping ideas that those with fortunate earned every dollar, earned it cleanly, and were “tough” only when warranted, where “tough” covers a multitude of sins.[/quote]
