I don't know about the PP's kid but I know one of mine knew how to factor quadratic or graph lines at 9. Some kids are into math and just pick it up. There are lots of free online resources like Khan academy for anyone who is interested. When DC was 11 they were scoring around 290. They weren't even in Algebra because we live in East county.[/quote]
