It seems like a good amount of families are intrigued by this [/quote] It got picked up by the news which is when a lot more names got put on. Note that a lot of the signers are not DCPS parents or not just DCPS parents. A large percentage are teachers, extended family members, and people who live outside of DC. Plus, 1,200 names for a district with over 50,000 kids (so 100k+ parents) and about 7,000 personnel is not even a scratch even if there weren’t the huge portion of signers without DCPS ties. [/quote]
