Do you think influencers like Jen ever get tired of the constant stream of bullshit they spew out into the universe? It must be exhausting, right? Always posing, skyways scheming, always putting in a false front.
Anyone I know who is influencer-like (posts a lot of curating things about themselves weekly or daily) is a dishonest person. If people don’t know their context from afar they seem successful, honest, admirable. But up close there’s so many lies - usually half truths or slight distortions but when you zoom in you see just how fragmented that image can be and the lies kind of explode. I don’t know any big influencers but they’re the same as the smaller circle ones I know -you can kind of tell that they’re dishonest by what Jen does - overwriting, exaggerating, grandiosity vibe. Embellish details. Taking a small social encounters and adding a whole new story and twist to it so it sounds better or more familiar and ends up as a humble brag and virtue signal for the person posting. Taking normal day to day things and talking about it in a way that it makes you and to the people reading seem like you’re one of the few people doing/thinking about this very normal thing.
