Coaching, good goalie play, and the girls playing within themselves has been key for us.  They keep building.  Was expecting this to be a tough game last night, but the Cavs jumped out to a 4-0 lead, had a 7-2 edge at the half and it was 10-4 and cruising midway through the 4th quarter when WS got a few late.  After hearing about all of their commits this offseason, thought the Westies would be more of a challenge.  Doesn't seem like the girls are developing under the post-Puhlick coaching staff there. Good for us, bad for them I guess...[/quote]

Woodson already matched last season's 8-win total.  Definitely a big improvement.  Were the late goals against the Woodson starters or mostly second string?  If starters, then it was a relatively tight game at the end.  If last 4 goals by WS were their starters against Woodson subs, then a comfortable win.[/quote]

Woodson's schedule is much easier this year than last year.  They didn't schedule games with Madison, Yorktown or Battlefield.  Oakton and Robinson are the only teams in the top 10 that they have scheduled and they haven't played them yet. The first test will be Oakton on Saturday.[/quote]
