Medicaid has been expanded as part of the ACA to cover millions more people, those who cannot afford private insurance. That was planned. Republicans want to roll Medicaid back to what it used to be, a much smaller program. That will leave millions without health coverage. More importantly, it will devastate our health industry, which is funded by Medicare and Medicaid as well as private health insurance payments. If the federal government cuts funding for Medicare and Medicaid, it will destroy our health care system for everyone. Not sure they realize that. Some probably don't, some probably do but figure something will sort it out somehow.[/quote]
