Funny that you have to put in a dig about republicans. It’s obvious to me that democrats would never do a system like you proposed, because slipping in liberal pork that “you’ll find out when we vote it in” is the name of the game for democrats.

Did you see that the bipartisan infrastructure bill isn’t allowed to be used for new roads and bridges?? It needs to have a zero footprint so can only go over existing infrastructure. So can’t be used in the high growth (mostly red at this point) areas like in Florida. I hope the republicans who voted for that learned their lesson, not to trust that democrats are negotiating in good faith.[/quote]
