I think it's definitely a significant number almost regardless of what the denominator is. You're talking about nearly 30% of the school's population who has spent $5K for a program (to say nothing of what else they've paid for) that promises greater access. Based on how many of those were also admitted to AOS or AET, you're also talking about approximately 70% of the population of Loudoun kids who received offers. From ONE prep company.
Before you said it was 28%, which you then elevated to 30%, which you then doubled? to get 70%. 28*2 is 56, and we don't know that they everyone was double accepted.
not pp, but do you know anything about TJ admissions? The kids were 28% of the total, but comprise 70% of Loudon admits when you toss in AOS and AET
Gotcha. I forgot this was a discussion of TJ, and thought you were saying the 28% were accepted to both AOS and AET.
My statistics were the ones that you cited. "28%" and "nearly 30%" are equivalent statements. Loudoun has historically had a cap of just under 100 students, and of the 133 TJ admits that they had listed for the Class of 2024, 67 of them had also been admitted to either AOS or AET, meaning that they were Loudoun residents. That's how you get to "approximately 70% of Loudoun offers". I apologize if my sentence construction was less than clear.
