The monolithic politics here are not good for our city. Our councilmembers are getting complacent, pursuing pet projects, and taking their power for granted. Shale it up. And if you have your child in a charter school then you definitely should vote Republican. There may be more good ideas! What's funny to me is given the election today everyone is saying "if only it were Romney". There is such thing as moderate,center of the road Republicans. Yet when a republican dares to run for our council, they're demonized. Thats what's wrong with politics today. I've votes for a lot of democrats in my years in D.C. including the amazing Tony Williams. A lot of our current councilmembers are not up to par. Send a message. Vote in the Republican.[/quote]
