I don't understand some people on this board. If you think summer vacation is so important, enroll in a school that has a long summer break. You have a lot more than 11 schools to choose from. No need to trash this plan, which will actually be good for a lot of kids who don't go to sleepaway camp or fancy family vacations in the summer. When you're complaining about the cost or scarcity of summer camp, please come back and let us know how that's going.

Actually unlike yourself, I am affected by this plan. I live in Ward 4 (Petworth) and an inbounds for Raymond. Raymond is one of the 11 extended year schools. So thanks so much for your snark Ward 3 mom [/quote]
