I am still pretty sure Cloud IX can build.in that range. We are doing a fully custom home with another builder for 700k and that includes architect costs. Cloud IX was way more affordable ( and who we should have gone with, TBH).
How large of a house are you building? I'd be interested in learning more about your experience with cloud ix..
We ar building 4000SF. Too large for my taste, but we let things get bloated during the design stage:) We interviewed Patrick of Cloud IX several times, talked to all of his clients, including our neighbor, and they were almost 100% positive. Any complaint had to do with general construction angst. He had a bunch of plans from 2800SF all the way up to about 5 or 6 I think. You could customize. He has a good, smooth operation and his subs seem to like him. And he and his brother are just nice people. Again, in hindsight, wish we had used them!
I hope your relationship stays that way. It is a rare occasion when a homeowner will recommend a custom hone builder they used.
Not ripped off at all. We had a very good architect and builder and are very happy with our house after nearly three years. The builder builds only four houses a year, and seems to be doing very well. He usually has two houses being simultaneously but in different phases and has an onsite superintendent and subcontractors he has used for a long time. Not sure why you think we were ripped off or he isn't making money. Can you explain? Thank you. My builder was excellent, but he is very selective about where he will build and the type of houses he will be build. He does only four each year and has a long list of people who want to use him. We got lucky because my broker is the CFO of the company where he buys materials.
Only 4 houses a year. Imagine how much profit margin he has to have. You were probably ripped off. But I guess you don't care.
