PP^2 skeptical Floridian here. new College is a new honors college and seems pretty good deal. I think most of us here are older and this didn't even know it existed.

But with such selective and small enrollment, you should be sure your kids are exemplary or they will be commuting to the largest public university in the country: UCF (who knew? Bigger thank UMd, Ohio state, even UF).

I don't know why you're eye rolling.   New College is not new, it's been around for decades.

I got into several top 15 law schools after attending and received a full ride to one.  That said, it is a very difficult school to get into but well respected.  Most NC students have options out of state at top schools.  Has one of the highest rates of graduates who get PhDs in the country.  [/quote]
