While Beauvoir does a good job with diversity it is still very much a majority white school. I also know some minorities who applied at the last minute and were either not accepted or wait listed. So it really just comes down to the child. Apply. Go to the mandatory your. Do your best to paint a good picture of your child and your family in your responses to the essay questions.
